Shopping for a new mattress can become increasingly difficult when you're unfamiliar with the options available on the market. Not to worry, we've got you covered! We've provided some additional information on some of the most popular mattress types out there!


Memory Foam

Memory foam is a Viscoelastic material that is mostly made out of a substance called polyurethane. Memory foam mattresses are known for their "sinking in" feeling. They slowly form to the users body and cradle them throughout the night. Memory foam can ease joint pain and pressure points. However, memory foam is not a very responsive material. After prolonged use, the mattress will slowly form back into its original position. Users who toss and turn throughout the night may prefer a mattress with more "bounce" may not be satisfied with a memory foam mattress. Different types of memory foam includes memory foam, gel memory foam, infused memory foam.

Latex

Latex mattresses are extremely popular and for good reason. They have many of the same benefits as memory foam mattresses but, they tend to be much more responsive. Latex reacts much faster than memory foam and quickly forms back to it original shape. Latex mattresses are a great option for people who toss and turn throughout the night. Latex mattresses are naturally cool and rarely sleep hot. Natural latex mattresses are extremely durable and may even last between 15-20 years. Keep in mind, that there are several different types of latex mattresses. They include Talalay, Dunlop, and Synthetic Latex Mattresses.

Hybrid:

Hybrid Mattresses are made using a variety of different support systems. They typically include innerspring, latex, memory foam, and gel memory foam layers. These layers provide pressure and joint pain relief while still allowing the mattress to retain its innerspring properties. There are thousands of hybrid mattresses that range in comfort level and price range. Hybrid mattresses can be an extremely affordable and reliable option.
